White balance is the process of removing or neutralizing color cast on your photos. Because at its core, white balance is about ensuring the colors in your photograph appear as they do in real life. They can mess with portrait skin tones, they can create muddy shadows and sickly highlights, and they can create unwanted moods in your photos.
